The Uk’s 4X season all kicked off big style, a massive record entry of riders and 200 motos to get through before the quarter finals it was a tough start to the season.
The super fast hard packed sand Chicksands is always a season favorite, The guys work long and hard at Chicksands Bike park to have the track in tip top condition and this was no exception. The extension to the track with a new 180 degree flat turn made for some exciting last corner moves with quite a few riders getting a mouth full of sand. 

Here is the latest 2008 NPS4X Series information from Chris Roberts ‘the man responsible for bringing us Europe’s biggest 4X Series’, Venues, Dates, Sponsors, Prizes and new ‘Randomised Gate starts’  to test the riders skills even more than in last years NPS4X series . . . .

Due to parking limitations at Chicksands the number of race applicants for round 1 of the NPS 4X on 20th April 2008 is being restricted to only 150 places only.

It is advised that you pre-registrar your place in order to guarantee you will be able to compete.

It is reminded to all XC riders that both the Red and the Blue routes no longer go through the bike park. This has been the case for well over a year but unfortunately we have had damage caused to a number of the downhill courses on several occasions where XC riders have skidded through corners and over jumps causing severe damage to them.

Filhty48 round 2 will be hosted at Chicksands Bike Park on the 28th June 2008, here’s what the event organisers have to say about it . . .    ‘ Filthy48 has always been about good times, riding and chillin’ out. We’ve been doing it up north now for three years and thought it was about time to let everyone else have a slice. ‘

This Sunday 17th February Chicksands Bike Park will be holding a 4X gate practice day, Chris Roberts (NPS 4X) will down from 11am to run the gate for anyone who wants to practic their starts or just have a go.
